In 1972 ACS began with a small exhibit and only a few publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Today, growing from that humble start, over a hundred companies participate in the ACS collective at the Frankfurt Book Fair covering almost 12 thousand square feet.

As ACS has expanded its size, it's also expanded its reach. In addition to the Frankfurt Book Fair, the American Collective Stand now allows U.S companies to have a presence at the London Book Fair, the Beijing International Book Fair, Bologna Children's Book Fair and BookExpo America.
