The Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is a 10-day event and is considered to be the 4th largest fair in the world drawing 2.4 million visitors attend in 2018. Professional visitors; publishers, librarians, teachers, book stores that attend can expect to discover, and purchase, new titles that are hard to find in the region. The event also features a lineup of book signings, workshops and panel discussions.
In conjunction with and during the SIBF, The Sharjah Middle East Library conference convenes and draws Library Directors, Acquisition Librarians, and library staff from Academic, School and Corporate Libraries to the Expo Centre in Sharjah, UAE. The American Library Association provides full conference programming, speakers and certificates of participation. Each year over 300 librarians from the Mideast, North Africa and Asia regions congregate to share information, expand their expertise through professional programming, and meet international vendors in the unique Library Lounge atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your books, journals, or services to a dedicated group of library directors and acquisition librarians in the region.
